Drip, Spill, Splatter!

Spring is in full bloom and what better way to greet it than with a splash of color! Bold use of color has been the main talking point for many brands this spring but Anthropologie truly mastered the theme, with the powerful visual impact that they created through their windows.

Behold Anthropology’s tribute to Abstract Expressionism—the post World War II movement made famous by artists like Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline and Willem de Kooning. The windows of Anthropology stores across are utterly inspired by the carefree chaos, rich colors and refreshing spontaneity of the works of these great artists and indeed they have been successful in creating some giant masterpieces of their own. Without further ado here come some of these breathtaking displays:

Anthropologie’s idea for these windows was a work of sheer genius and it makes me wanna paint! It spoke volumes about their artsy spring’12 collection and it was a pleasant reassurance to visual merchandisers that art could be a good design too!
